Young Mazino

Young Mazino, born Christopher Young Kim on August 27, 1991, is an American actor who performs under a stage name he adopted in 2018. The name combines his Korean middle name with Urek Mazino, a character from the Korean manhwa Tower of God by artist S.I.U. He registered the name with the Screen Actors Guild that year to distinguish himself from the many other actors sharing his legal surname.

Mazino was born in Maryland and raised in Silver Spring by two Korean immigrant parents, including a father who came to the United States from Korea at age 16. He has two older sisters. He holds a first-degree black belt in taekwondo. He attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County before leaving to pursue acting, relocating to New York City in 2014 to train for a year at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Prior to establishing himself as an actor, he worked for six years as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at LVMH's Fresh.

Before his breakthrough, Mazino appeared in short films and television. His career shifted significantly with the 2023 Netflix series Beef, in which he played Paul, the younger brother of Steven Yeun's character. The performance earned him a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. In January 2024, it was announced that he would join the cast of the HBO drama series The Last of Us as Jesse, a role he continues as of 2025.

That same year, Mazino made his Broadway debut in Maybe Happy Ending, which opened in 2024.
