William T. Carleton (1859–1930) was an English-born actor and producer whose Broadway career spanned more than four decades, from 1883 to 1927. Born in England, Carleton built a sustained presence on the American stage before his death in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, in 1930.
His Broadway work encompassed a range of musical productions. Carleton took on a starring role in Mlle. Mischief and appeared in additional productions including Three Little Lambs, The Beggar Student, and The Love Call, among others.
Carleton has sometimes been incorrectly identified as a relative of William P. Carleton, a separate actor with whom he shares a surname. He is also distinct from another individual named William T. Carleton, an opera singer who died in 1922.
