About
Will Brill is an American actor born on July 11, 1986, in Menlo Park, California, where he developed an early passion for singing and participated in children's theater productions throughout the San Francisco Bay Peninsula. His high school years took him through several institutions, beginning at Menlo School before a fake ID incident led to his transfer to Menlo-Atherton High School. There he continued performing and co-directed a production of Lost in Yonkers. He subsequently transferred to Woodside High School in Redwood City and later to Gunn High School, both moves motivated by opportunities in theater. Following his graduation from Gunn, Brill pursued formal training at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.
Brill's Broadway career spans 2014 to 2024 and includes four productions. He joined the original cast of Act One and played Ed in the 2014 revival of You Can't Take It with You. He went on to portray Ali Hakim in the reimagined 75th-anniversary revival of Oklahoma! before appearing in Stereophonic, a play loosely based on the creation of the Fleetwood Mac album Rumours. His performance in Stereophonic earned him the 2024 Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play. Beyond Broadway, Brill has appeared in off-Broadway productions of Tribes and Our Town, both directed by David Cromer.
Brill is also recognized for his screen work, including his role as Scott Brown in the television series The OA. In 2020, he appeared in the film The Scottish Play, portraying an apparition of William Shakespeare come to life.
