Viola Compton, born Viola Maud Compton-Mackenzie on 26 November 1886 in Fulham, London, was an English actress who worked in both film and on the Broadway stage. She died on 7 April 1971 in Birchington-on-Sea, Kent.

Compton came from a prominent theatrical family. Her parents were the actors Edward Compton and Virginia Frances Bateman, and she was the second of their three children. Her younger brother was the writer Compton Mackenzie, and her younger sister was the actress Fay Compton.

Her Broadway career spanned 1916 to 1918, during which she appeared in two productions: Caliban of the Yellow Sands and Information Please.

Compton also maintained a career in film. Her screen work included Polly of the Circus in 1917, followed by a number of British productions in the 1930s. Among her film credits were Compromising Daphne, The Black Hand Gang, Third Time Lucky, Looking on the Bright Side, Smithy, The Good Companions, Excess Baggage, The Shadow, The Medicine Man, Dark World, Find the Lady, Happy Days Are Here Again, Servants All, The Last Journey, The Man in the Mirror, and The Big Noise.
