S. Victor Stanley was a British actor born in 1892 who worked across both stage and film during the early decades of the twentieth century. His career encompassed Broadway performance as well as an extensive body of work in British cinema.

Stanley appeared on Broadway in 1929 in the play Journey's End, marking his presence in the American theatrical world during that period.

His film career was concentrated primarily in the 1930s, during which he accumulated a substantial number of screen credits in British productions. In 1932 he appeared in The World, the Flesh, the Devil, playing the role of Jim Stanger. The following year proved particularly active, with Stanley taking on roles across numerous productions. His 1933 credits included The Iron Stair, in which he played Ben; The Ghost Camera, where he portrayed Albert Sims; His Grace Gives Notice, in which he appeared as James Roper; The House of Trent, where he played Spriggs; Three Men in a Boat, in which he took the role of a Cockney; The Umbrella, where he portrayed Victor Garnett; and The Medicine Man, in which he played Bitoff. He also appeared that year in Puppets of Fate, Timbuctoo, This Week of Grace, and Three Men in a Boat.

Stanley continued working in film through the mid-to-late 1930s. His 1934 credits included The Four Masked Men, in which he played Potter; Whispering Tongues, where he appeared as a Ship's Steward; The Lash, in which he portrayed Jake; and Open All Night. In 1935 he appeared in School for Stars as Bill and in Gentlemen's Agreement as Williams. Tropical Trouble followed in 1936, with Stanley playing Albert. His final screen appearance came in the 1937 production Aren't Men Beasts!, in which he played Harry Harper.

Stanley died on 27 January 1939 in Herne Bay at the age of 47.
