Victor Campos

Victor Campos (January 15, 1935 – December 4, 2018) was an American actor whose career spanned Broadway, film, and television. Born in New York City, he worked as a professional lightweight boxer before pursuing a career in acting, beginning his training and early work at the Puerto Rican Mobile Theater.

Campos made his Broadway debut in 1968, appearing in Plaza Suite. His stage work preceded a sustained career in American film and television that would define the following decades.

On television, Campos became recognized for his role as deputy Rudy Davillo in the CBS police drama Cade's County, which premiered in 1971 and ran through 1972. Following the series, he accumulated an extensive list of guest appearances on programs including Kojak, The Streets of San Francisco, Cannon, The New Perry Mason, Mission: Impossible, McCloud, The A-Team, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, and This Is the Life. In 1975, he joined the cast of the NBC medical drama Doctors' Hospital, portraying Dr. Felipe Ortega through 1976.

His film credits included Black Sunday, Scarface, The Master Gunfighter, Five Days from Home, Moving Violations, Murder on the Yellow Brick Road, Split Decisions, Juice, and Sleepaway Camp IV: The Survivor.

Campos died on December 4, 2018, in Sherman Oaks, California, at the age of 83.
