Tyrell Davis was a British actor born Harry Davis on September 29, 1902, in Surbiton, Surrey, England. Cambridge educated, he built a career that spanned the stage and screen on both sides of the Atlantic, with work in West End productions, Broadway shows, and British and American films.
Davis made his Broadway appearances between 1926 and 1929, performing in the plays Serena Blandish and The Creaking Chair. His stage career also included West End engagements in London.
His film work brought him roles in several productions released around 1930, among them Strictly Unconventional, Let Us Be Gay, and Paid. In 1933 he appeared in George Cukor's Our Betters, in which he played a supporting role.
Davis was married to Lota Cheek. He died on December 8, 1970, in London, England.
