About

Tyce Diorio is an American dancer, choreographer, and television personality born on August 22, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York. He is widely recognized for his recurring role as choreographer and guest judge on the Fox series So You Think You Can Dance, and he received an Emmy Award in 2009 for Outstanding Choreography.

Diorio's early career included a 1988 appearance in the Star Search Finals, where he competed under the name Keith Diorio. During that period he was named Mr. Dance of America and performed in a contemporary production called Nuts-n-Krackers in Boston, Massachusetts, alongside dancer Nancy O'Meara, a former Miss Dance of America. He went on to work as a dancer in feature films, appearing in Robin Hood: Men in Tights and the 1995 film Showgirls, both credited under the name Keith Diorio. His film work continued with additional credits including Starsky & Hutch, 13 Going on 30, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Epic Movie. In 2010, Diorio played himself in the motion picture Move, directed by Kurt E. Soderling and Melinda Songer.

On Broadway, Diorio performed in Fosse and Chicago, with his stage credits spanning 1999 to 2003. His effort to secure a role in the 2006 Broadway revival of A Chorus Line was documented in the 2008 film Every Little Step, in which he also made a cameo audition appearance.

As a choreographer, Diorio has worked with a wide range of recording artists, including Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin, Paula Abdul, Mýa, Céline Dion, Toni Braxton, Kelly Osbourne, and *NSYNC. He choreographed Paula Abdul's music video for Dance Like There's No Tomorrow and Taylor Swift's video for Shake It Off, the latter also featuring So You Think You Can Dance alumnus Fik-Shun. Additional choreography credits include work for Paulina Rubio and Tobey Maguire, advertising campaigns for iPod, McDonald's, Sylvania, and Road Runner DSL, and a musical entitled Just Another Man. Diorio also worked privately with Katie Holmes and Maguire.

His television credits extend well beyond So You Think You Can Dance and include That '70s Show, The Tyra Banks Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Academy Awards, The American Music Awards, The Billboard Music Awards, Big Time Rush, Fame, and the television productions Annie and Cinderella. In 2003, Diorio was a contestant on the talent competition series Fame. He also served as a featured judge on the TLC program Master of Dance, which aired a six-episode season in the summer of 2008, again credited as Keith Diorio. He contributed as a special guest choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance Poland and So You Think You Can Dance Ukraine, assisting in the selection of top dancers on both programs. His choreography for the Lifetime series Drop Dead Diva featured Paula Abdul alongside several So You Think You Can Dance finalists.
