Trent Dawson

Trent Ashley Dawson, born February 4, 1971, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is an American actor whose work spans Broadway, television, and a range of stage productions both on and off Broadway.

Dawson made his Broadway appearance in 1998 in The Herbal Bed, and his stage career has continued to encompass a wide variety of roles across multiple productions. His work in theater has run alongside an active presence in television, demonstrating a sustained commitment to both mediums throughout his career.

On television, Dawson became widely recognized for portraying Henry Coleman on the daytime soap opera As the World Turns. He was initially engaged for only a few days of work in 1999, but the audience response to his character was strong enough to extend his tenure first to several months and ultimately to an open-ended run on the series. The show formally placed him under contract in 2005, and he subsequently received multiple Emmy nominations for his performance. As the World Turns concluded its run in 2010. Dawson later joined the cast of General Hospital in 2016, taking on the recurring role of Huxley Lynch. His television credits also include guest appearances on The Good Wife, NCIS: Los Angeles, and Homeland.

Away from his professional work, Dawson returned to his home state of Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina to assist Habitat for Humanity with rebuilding efforts. He married Sharron Kearney on October 13, 2012.
