Tommy Batchelor

Tommy Batchelor is an American theatre performer from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. He began his dance training at age four at the Dance Factory in Minnesota, and his early performance experience included two productions of The Nutcracker with the Miami City Ballet, in 2006 and 2010.

Batchelor's Broadway career spanned 2008 to 2010, with his principal credit being the role of Billy in Billy Elliot: The Musical. He made his first appearance in the part on February 10, 2009, and continued performing the role through December 11, 2009. The role demanded that Batchelor remain onstage for the majority of a two-hour-and-fifty-minute production, performing ballet, tap, and interpretive dance while acting and singing in a Northern British accent.

Following his Broadway run, Batchelor left New York to reprise the role of Billy at the Oriental Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, where he performed from March 19, 2010 through October 10, 2010.

After his time with Billy Elliot, Batchelor joined the cast of The Who's Tommy at Short North Stage in Columbus, Ohio, serving as a dance soloist and ensemble member. He subsequently enrolled at The Ohio State University as a Dance major, participating in university productions including Dance Downtown and Drums Downtown.
