Tom Mannion

Tom Mannion is a Scottish actor who trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. He made his Broadway debut in 1984, with credits that include Cyrano de Bergerac and Much Ado About Everything.

Mannion's stage work has extended beyond Broadway to prominent theatrical productions in the United Kingdom. In 2011 and 2012, he toured throughout the UK playing Inspector Goole in Stephen Daldry's production of An Inspector Calls.

His screen career spans several decades of British and international television. Among his many credits are Brookside, Up the Garden Path, The Bill, Boon, Cadfael, Doctor Finlay, Doctors, Eleventh Hour, Holby City, Roman Mysteries, Hustle, Life on Mars, Midsomer Murders, New Tricks, Red Cap, Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Spatz, Taggart, The Agatha Christie Hour, The Chief, The Royal, and Wycliffe. He also appeared in the BBC series Lip Service, Moving On, and Inside Men, and in 2016 took a role in Mr Selfridge. In December 2012, Mannion joined the cast of the soap opera Emmerdale as horse trainer Steve Harland, making his final appearance in that role on 11 September 2013.

His film work includes That Sinking Feeling (1979), The Agatha Christie Hour (1982), Return of the Jedi (1983), Croupier (1998) in which he played Detective Inspector Ross, Beautiful Creatures (2000), Iris (2001), Brothers (2004), Beyond the Sea (2004), Centurion (2010), F (2010), and Waterboys (2016).
