Tom Macaulay was a British actor born Chambré Thomas MacAulay Booth on 17 March 1906, who died on 19 June 1979. He received his education at Harrow and was married to actress Tucker McGuire.

Macaulay established a career in British film during the late 1940s and into the 1950s. His screen work began with a role as Lieutenant Spanswick in the 1946 production I See a Dark Stranger. He appeared as Cleghorn in The Chiltern Hundreds in 1949, the same year he made his Broadway appearance in Yes, M'Lord. An uncredited role as a flashy man followed in The Woman in Question in 1950, and he played an ironworks manager in The Long Dark Hall in 1951.

His film work continued into 1952 with three productions: Robot Mark 1 in Mother Riley Meets the Vampire, an uncredited appearance in Penny Princess, and the role of Jack Bushell in The Planter's Wife. In 1953, Macaulay appeared as Inspector Grant in Murder at Scotland Yard and took an uncredited part in Skid Kids.
