Born October 1, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, Thomas Edward Bosley was the son of Dora and Benjamin Bosley. After serving in the United States Navy during World War II, he attended DePaul University. His first marriage was to Jean Eliot. He is survived by his daughter; his wife, the former Patricia Carr; his brother, Richard; two stepdaughters; and seven grandchildren.
His film credits include "The Back-up Plan," "Mary Christmas," "Fatal Confession: A Father Dowling Mystery," "The Jesse Owens Story," "The Fallen Ones," "The Castaways on Gilligan's Island," "The Bastard," "Miracle on 34th Street," "Arsenic & Old Lace," and "Alice in Wonderland." On television, he appeared in "Father Dowling Mysteries," "Murder, She Wrote," "The Love Boat," "Happy Days," "Wait Till Your Father Gets Home," "Love, American Style," "The Sandy Duncan Show," and "The Debbie Reynolds Show."
Notably, Thomas Edward Bosley never missed a single one of the nearly 800 performances during the Broadway run of Fiorello!
