Tobias Segal

Tobias Segal is an American actor whose work spans stage, television, and film. Born and raised in Chester County, Pennsylvania, he developed early ties to the Philadelphia theatre community and took a break from Temple University in 2004 to work with professional theaters in the area.

Segal established himself as a notable stage presence at a young age. In 2002, he became one of the youngest actors to receive a Barrymore Award, earning the Outstanding Supporting Actor honor for his performance in Equus. His stage work continued to earn recognition when he received a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Play in 2008. In the spring and summer of 2009, he appeared in The Bridge Project at the Old Vic Theatre, the London venue associated with Kevin Spacey, under the direction of Sam Mendes. That production was followed by his Broadway appearance in The Miracle Worker in 2010.

On screen, Segal made appearances on Law & Order and had a role in the 2006 major motion picture Rocky Balboa. His independent film work includes The Other America, which screened at the SlamDance Film Festival and the Philadelphia Film Festival in April 2004. In 2011, he played the character U. Gene on the Fox science-fiction series Fringe and appeared in the Body of Proof episode "Helping Hand." The following year he starred in the independent comedy-drama Petunia alongside Thora Birch and Michael Urie. His role in the film B-Side earned him a Best Supporting Actor award at the Orlando Film Festival in 2013.

Segal went on to portray the character Earl in John Wick: Chapter 2 and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. In 2022, he appeared in the third season of the FX series Atlanta, playing the white counterpart to Donald Glover's character Earnest "Earn" Marks in dream sequences, referred to as "E." Segal is based in Brooklyn, New York.
