Timothy T. Mitchum

Timothy T. Mitchum is an American actor and singer born on July 26, 1992, in Rochester, New York. He has worked across stage, film, and television, with credits spanning Broadway, feature films, and network television.

Mitchum's Broadway career includes a production of The Lion King, in which he appeared in 2002. In 2003, following attendance at Best New Talent in LA, he secured the role of the lion prince Simba in The Lion King, holding the part for 13 months. He was later invited to return to the role, but his increased height and a deepening voice made him no longer suited for the part of Simba.

On the film side, Mitchum appeared in Across the Universe, a 2007 feature in which he performed the Beatles song "Let It Be" alongside Carol Woods. He also appeared in August Rush with Robin Williams and Terrence Howard. His television work includes appearances on Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Conviction.

Beyond film and television, Mitchum performed "Let It Be" at the Grammy Awards in February 2008 and made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Following the Grammy ceremony, he met Stevie Wonder, and the two performed "For Once in My Life" together on harmonicas. He also appeared at the New York Metro Fest for Beatles Fans, where he performed "Let It Be" with the Beatles tribute band Liverpool.

Mitchum attended the State University of New York at Fredonia's School of Music and was a member of SUNY Fredonia's Weapons of Jazz.
