Tim Hopper is an American actor whose career spans stage, film, and television. He has been a member of the Steppenwolf Theatre Company ensemble in Chicago, Illinois since 1988, where his stage work has included productions such as Arthur Miller's The Crucible.
Hopper made his Broadway appearance in 1996 in the comedy Present Laughter. His off-Broadway credits include the 2012 Primary Stages production of Him, in which he played the role of Henry. He also performed in More Stately Mansions at the New York Theatre Workshop, a performance that earned him an Obie Award.
In 2003, Hopper received a Joseph Jefferson Award nomination in the category of Actor in a Supporting Role in a Play for his work in The Violet Hour. His film appearances include Tenderness, To Die For, and School of Rock.
