Taylor Frey

Taylor Frey is an American actor born on April 28, 1989, in Las Vegas, Nevada. He began his professional career on Broadway, where he performed between 2009 and 2011, and has since built a screen career spanning film and television.

Frey attended Viewmont High School, graduating in 2004, and subsequently earned a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. During his time at BYU, he faced potential expulsion under the school's honor code, which prohibited homosexual contact, though the institution ultimately cleared him for lack of evidence.

His stage work includes Broadway productions of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and Finian's Rainbow, as well as South Pacific and The View UpStairs. He also performed in a national tour of Hairspray. Following his Broadway years, Frey transitioned to screen work, appearing in the film G.B.F., the television series Gossip Girl, The Carrie Diaries, and Days of Our Lives, and the feature film Summertime, directed by Gabriele Muccino. He also appeared in Shoulder Dance. His most prominent screen role to date is Don Hagerty in It Chapter Two, released in 2019.

Frey grew up Mormon and is openly gay. In 2016, he married actor and singer Kyle Dean Massey in Palm Springs, California. The couple announced in April 2021 that they were expecting their first child via surrogacy, and on October 31, 2021, their daughter, Rafa Massey-Frey, was born through a surrogate.
