Taheen Modak

Taheen Khalikh Modak is a British actor born in 1996 in the West London Borough of Hounslow. He attended Isleworth and Syon School before joining both the National Youth Theatre and the RADA Youth Company. Following a gap year, he enrolled at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Acting.

Modak launched his professional stage career in 2019 with a role in The American Clock at the Old Vic Theatre in London. That same year, he began playing Ahmed "Med" Kharim, a main character in the ITV crime drama The Bay, a role he held across the series' first two seasons. In 2020, he appeared as Jay in the Sky One and HBO Max comedy-drama miniseries Two Weeks to Live, alongside Maisie Williams, Sian Clifford, and Mawaan Rizwan. He also appeared in an episode of the ITV revival of Van der Valk during that period.

Following his departure from The Bay, Modak continued building his stage career with a production of The Taxidermist's Daughter at Chichester Festival Theatre. He then returned to Bristol Old Vic for Hamlet in 2022 and to London's Old Vic for Pygmalion in 2023. In 2024, he made his Broadway debut in Romeo + Juliet. That same year, he also appeared in the Channel 5 period drama The Hardacres.
