Suzie Plakson

Suzie Plakson is an American actress whose career has spanned stage, television, and film. She began her professional life in theater, appearing opposite Anthony Newley in a national revival tour of Stop the World, I Want to Get Off, in which she played four separate characters. Her Broadway work includes the 1991 production of La Bête, where she portrayed Marquise Theresa Du Parc.

On television, Plakson became a series regular on the sitcom Love & War, playing sportswriter Mary Margaret "Meg" Tynan. She accumulated recurring roles across several other sitcoms, including Mad About You, Everybody Loves Raymond, and How I Met Your Mother. She also provided the voice of Monica de Vertebrae, a blue brontosaurus real estate agent, on Dinosaurs, along with numerous additional guest voices on that series.

Plakson is particularly recognized among science fiction audiences for portraying four distinct characters across multiple Star Trek series. She played the Vulcan Doctor Selar in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Schizoid Man," and the half-Klingon, half-human Ambassador K'Ehleyr in the Next Generation episodes "The Emissary" and "Reunion." She appeared as the Lady Q in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "The Q and the Grey," and as the Andorian Tarah in the Star Trek: Enterprise episode "Cease Fire."

Her film credits include Disclosure, Red Eye, and Wag the Dog. Beyond acting, Plakson wrote and performed an allegorical solo stage show titled An Evening with Eve. She also wrote and recorded an alternative country rock album, DidnWannaDoIt!, produced by Jay Ferguson, and released a video for the title track on YouTube. Additionally, she authored and recorded The Return of King Lillian, a mythic allegory released as both an audiobook and an e-book.
