Stanley Brock, born Stanley Eis on July 7, 1931, in Brooklyn, New York, was an American actor who worked across film, television, and Broadway. He performed on Broadway in 1975 in We Interrupt This Program....
On television, Brock accumulated an extensive body of work in both recurring and guest roles. He portrayed Howie Hoffstedder across 78 episodes of the daytime soap opera Days of Our Lives and appeared as Bruno Binder in multiple episodes of Barney Miller. He also recurred on The Rockford Files and Night Court. His series regular work included the role of Ivan Bronski on the sitcom He's the Mayor.
Brock guest-starred on a wide range of television programs, among them One Day at a Time, Charlie's Angels, Happy Days, Knots Landing, Hill Street Blues, The A-Team, Quantum Leap, and Highway to Heaven. In film, he played Harvey Bilchik in the 1989 comedy UHF. In 1987, a photograph of Brock juggling fire balls was used for the inside artwork of Hold Your Fire, the twelfth studio album by rock band Rush.
Brock died on January 25, 1991, in Los Angeles, of a heart attack, at the age of 59.
