Sharron Matthews is a Canadian actress and stage performer, born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. She is recognized across both stage and screen, with a career that spans Broadway, touring productions, and Canadian television.
Matthews made her Broadway appearance in 1988, performing in Les Misérables. Stage work has remained central to her career, and in 2017 she toured a one-woman cabaret show titled Girl Crush.
On television, Matthews is best known for her recurring role as Flo Chakowitz in the Canadian drama series Frankie Drake Mysteries. The role earned her Canadian Screen Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at both the 7th Canadian Screen Awards in 2019 and the 9th Canadian Screen Awards in 2021. In 2021, she also expanded her work behind the scenes, co-writing the Frankie Drake Mysteries episode "Life Is a Cabaret," marking her first credit as a television writer.
In her personal life, Matthews was previously married to musical theatre actor George Masswohl; the two have since divorced.
