About

Shanelle Workman is an American actress, producer, and director whose work spans theater, television, film, and voice acting. She appeared on Broadway in Les Misérables in 1987, a production in which she also shared the stage with fellow soap actress Eden Riegel.

Workman is widely recognized for two recurring television roles: Sarah "Flash" Roberts on the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live, and Gabriela "Gaby" Moreno Forrester on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. She joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in March 2005 but departed in October of that year after producers determined the character had not connected with audiences. In 2005, she also appeared in the film The Biggest Fan, playing Charlotte, the best friend of Debbie Worden, alongside Kaila Amariah and Chris Trousdale. That same year, she began filming Jump Shot, in which she portrayed a student of a character played by Ray Liotta.

Workman has an extensive career in video game voice acting. She voiced Larxene in the Kingdom Hearts series, Caren Velázquez in Dino Crisis 3, Pasadena O'Possum in Crash Tag Team Racing, Jennifer Willis in Splatterhouse, Alestia Lallis in Mass Effect, and took on the leading voice role of Milliarde in the GameCube title Baten Kaitos Origins. She has also provided the voice of Wendy in commercials for the fast food chain Wendy's.

Workman co-owns Gray Studios LA with her husband, David Barry Gray. On October 3, 2012, she became the temporary guardian of her younger sister, actress Ariel Winter, following allegations of physical and emotional abuse by their mother, Chrisoula. Workman filed a petition seeking permanent guardianship, and the court granted it on May 5, 2014. A subsequent settlement established that Workman would retain custody of Winter while their father, Glenn Workman, maintained control of Winter's finances with required court reporting. Superior Court judge Daniel Murphy retained jurisdiction over Winter until she turned 18 in 2016. Workman and Chrisoula later issued a joint statement indicating they were working toward reconciliation.
