Scott Chapman Plank (November 11, 1958 – October 24, 2002) was an American actor born in Washington, D.C., whose career encompassed Broadway, regional theater, television, and film.

Plank's Broadway work spanned from 1975 to 1981. He was a member of the original cast of the 1981 musical Dreamgirls, in which he portrayed a member of The James Early Band. He also performed in A Chorus Line at the Shubert Theatre, playing various roles during his time with the production.

His regional theater work in Los Angeles included a production of Hurlyburly, written by David Rabe and staged at the Westwood Playhouse, in which Sean Penn also appeared. Penn later wrote and directed a one-act play, The Kindness of Women, in which Plank participated. Additional regional credits include The Fool, directed by James Gammon at the Met Theatre, and G.R. Point, directed by Howard Fine at the Callboard Theater.

On television, Plank was known for his role as Nick Reardon in Melrose Place, which began in 1992, and as Wiley Farrell in the series Air America in 1998. In 1989 he starred as Sgt. Vincent Hanna in the television film L.A. Takedown, directed by Michael Mann. Other television appearances included Sons and Daughters in 1991 and The Division in 2001.

His film credits included The In Crowd (1988), Panama Sugar (1990), which co-starred Oliver Reed, Saints and Sinners (1994), Without Evidence (1995), which co-starred Angelina Jolie, The Flying Dutchman (2001), which co-starred Rod Steiger, and Holes (2003), in which he played the supporting role of Trout Walker alongside Sigourney Weaver and Jon Voight. Plank also appeared in Shania Twain's music video for Dance with the One That Brought You, directed by Sean Penn.

Plank died on October 24, 2002, in Los Angeles, California, from injuries sustained in a car accident three days earlier. He was 43 years old. The film Holes was dedicated to his memory.
