About
Sarah Pidgeon is an American actress born on July 7, 1996, in Michigan, where she attended Birmingham Groves High School. During her school years she participated in productions at the Community House in Birmingham and attended Interlochen Arts Camp each summer. She subsequently enrolled at the Interlochen Arts Academy, graduating in 2014, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama in Pittsburgh in 2018.
Pidgeon began her professional screen career with appearances in the series One Dollar and Gotham before being cast in the Amazon Prime Video survivalist drama The Wilds, which ran from 2020 to 2022. In that series she played Leah, a character described by Collider as operating with raw intensity in her pursuit of the truth. In August 2022 she was announced as a cast member of the Hulu series Tiny Beautiful Things, which aired in 2023. There she portrayed the younger version of the character Clare, a role shared with Kathryn Hahn. Lucy Mangan of The Guardian described Pidgeon's performance as brilliantly played, and Pidgeon herself characterized Clare as extremely volatile and destructive.
Pidgeon made her Broadway debut in 2024 in David Adjmi's play Stereophonic, which had first run Off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons before transferring to the John Golden Theatre. She played the role of Diana in the production. Frank Rizzo of Variety called her performance remarkable, while Gloria Oladipo of The Guardian described it as precise, vivid, and gripping. For this debut, Pidgeon received a Theatre World Award in 2024 as well as a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play.
Following her Broadway work, Pidgeon appeared as Stevie Ward in the 2025 slasher film I Know What You Did Last Summer. She then portrayed Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy in the first season of the FX/Hulu drama series Love Story, initially titled American Love Story, which premiered in 2026.
