Sam Groom is an American actor born in 1938, whose career has spanned film, television, and Broadway. He appeared on Broadway in 2000 in Taller Than a Dwarf, and is a member of the faculty at HB Studio in New York City.

Groom's television work began in the 1960s with a role in the CBS prime-time drama Our Private World (1965), in which he portrayed Tom Eldridge. After that series was cancelled, he took on the role of Lee Pollock on The Edge of Night, replacing Ronnie Welch, and subsequently replaced Joey Trent as Dr. Russ Matthews on Another World. He went on to play the title character in the syndicated series Dr. Simon Locke (1971) and reprised his role in the spinoff Police Surgeon. In 1972 and 1973, he appeared in two episodes of Gunsmoke, "No Tomorrow" and "The Child Between" respectively. During the 1980s, Groom played Hal Sterling, the father of a castaway family, in the science fiction television series Otherworld, and also served as a spokesperson for American Motors, appearing in commercials for the Concord and Eagle model lineups. In 1993, he joined the cast of the soap opera All My Children as Joseph Orsini.

His guest television appearances include Law & Order, Murder, She Wrote, The Love Boat, Hill Street Blues, Quincy, M.E., The Feather and Father Gang, The Bionic Woman, and The Time Tunnel, in which he played a young scientist named Jerry. In 1976, he appeared in an episode of Sara and in Territorial Men, a television movie based on that series.

Groom's film credits include Act One (1963), The Baby Maker (1970), Time Travelers (1976), Run for the Roses (1977), Institute for Revenge (1979), Hanging by a Thread (1979), The Day the Loving Stopped (1981), and Deadly Eyes (1982). He portrayed John F. Kennedy in the 1983 television miniseries Blood Feud.
