Sam Clemmett is a British actor born on 1 October 1993 in Brundall, near Norwich, England. He attended Thorpe St Andrew School and developed an interest in acting from a young age, later participating in an intensive program at the National Youth Theatre at age 16.

Clemmett launched his professional stage career in 2011, making his debut as Bill in a production of Nigel Williams' adaptation of Lord of the Flies at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. His television work began in 2013 with guest appearances on the ITV series Foyle's War and the BBC One series Doctors. In 2014, he took on the role of Ernst in Nivelli's War at the MAC in Belfast and played Ian Trenting in Accolade at St James Theatre in London. The following year, he appeared as Mark in WINK at Theatre503 and as Tom in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Wendy & Peter Pan, and also appeared in an episode of the BBC period drama The Musketeers.

In 2016, Clemmett was announced as the originator of the role of Albus Severus Potter in the West End premiere of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre in London. He reprised the role in the Broadway production of the play at the Lyric Theatre in 2018, marking his Broadway debut.

On screen, Clemmett starred as Charlie MacDonald in the 2021 World War I film The War Below and appeared in the crime film Cherry that same year. In 2023, he portrayed young Brimsley in the Netflix prequel series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, a role that depicted the series' first LGBT romance.

Outside of performance, Clemmett serves as a patron of MoCo Theatre Company at the Norwich Theatre Royal. He married Danarose Lobue in October 2022.
