Roy Brocksmith (September 15, 1945 – December 16, 2001) was an American actor born in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Vera Marguerite (née Hartwig) and Otis E. Brocksmith, a mechanic. He graduated from Quincy University in 1970 and subsequently relocated to New York City to pursue a career in theater.

Brocksmith's Broadway career spanned from 1973 to 1984 and encompassed a range of productions, including The Leaf People, Stages, and Tartuffe. Among his musical credits, he played Louis XIII in The Three Musketeers and appeared as the balladeer in a revival of The Threepenny Opera alongside Raul Julia.

Beyond the stage, Brocksmith built a substantial screen career in film and television. His film roles included Dr. Edgemar in Total Recall and mortician Irv Kendall in Arachnophobia. On television, he portrayed a police sergeant possessed by Bill in Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey and played principal Michael Oslo in the series Picket Fences.

Brocksmith died on December 16, 2001, at the age of 56, from complications of diabetes.
