Ronn Carroll is an American actor from Petersburg, Virginia whose Broadway career spans four decades, from 1965 to 2005, encompassing more than twenty credits across musicals and plays.
Carroll's stage work includes two separate productions of Annie Get Your Gun, one featuring Ethel Merman and another starring Bernadette Peters. He was part of the original Broadway casts of both On Golden Pond and Crazy for You, and also appeared in Steel Pier and Play Me a Country Song. His other Broadway credits include the play The Front Page, the Trevor Nunn-directed revival of Oklahoma!, and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, which starred Matthew Broderick. Carroll appeared alongside Tyne Daly in the 1990 Broadway revival of Gypsy.
At Lincoln Center, Carroll accumulated a separate body of stage work. His appearances there include Carousel with John Raitt, Woody Allen's The Floating Light Bulb, Room Service with John Lithgow and Richard Thomas, and A Man of No Importance with Roger Rees.
Carroll's screen work includes a recurring film role as Sergeant Tierney in Friday the 13th in 1980, with archived footage from that performance used in Friday the 13th Part 2 the following year. His other film appearances include Spring Break, House, 84 Charing Cross Road, House II: The Second Story, DeepStar Six, Fool's Paradise, The Wedding, and The Producers in 2005. He provided the voice of Uncle Shlemiel in the 1995 animated film The Real Shlemiel. In 2013, Carroll appeared as himself in Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th, a documentary about the horror franchise.
