About
Ron Faber (February 16, 1933 – March 26, 2023) was an American actor born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, whose career spanned stage and screen across several decades. He received a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Performance in 1972, an early recognition that preceded his Broadway work.
Faber's Broadway career ran from 1973 to 1978 and included appearances in First Monday in October and Medea. Alongside his Broadway work, he built a substantial off-Broadway record, with credits that included And They Put Handcuffs on Flowers, Stonewall Jackson's House, and Troilus and Cressida.
His screen work included roles in several films, among them The Exorcist, The Private Files of J. Edgar Hoover, Navy SEALs, and Soup for One. Faber died of lung cancer in New York City on March 26, 2023, at the age of 90.
