Rod Loomis is an American actor born on April 21, 1942, in St. Albans, Vermont. He built a career spanning stage and screen over several decades, earning recognition in both theatrical and film contexts.

Loomis maintained a presence on Broadway from 1973 to 1994, with credits that include the play Uncle Vanya and Sunset Boulevard. Separate from his Broadway work, he appeared in the 1973 Off-Broadway revival of You Never Know. In 1995, he took part in a touring production of Jekyll & Hyde, playing the role of Sir Danvers Carew.

On screen, Loomis is perhaps most widely recognized for his portrayal of Sigmund Freud in the 1989 film Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.
