Richard Rober was an American stage and film actor born in Rochester, New York. His career spanned both theatre and film, with his stage work concentrated primarily from the mid-1930s through the mid-1940s.
Rober's Broadway career ran from 1941 to 1944 and included a range of productions across different genres. He appeared in the burlesque revue Star and Garter and the musical Banjo Eyes, as well as the comedy Ramshackle Inn. Among his most notable stage credits was a role in the original Broadway production of Oklahoma!, the landmark Rodgers and Hammerstein musical. He was also part of the original cast of Born Yesterday.
In addition to his theatre work, Rober pursued a career in film, appearing in numerous productions during the same period that defined his stage activity.
