Richard M. Davidson

Richard M. Davidson is a Canadian-American actor and audiobook narrator born on May 10, 1940, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. He appeared on Broadway between 1981 and 1991 and has worked across stage, television, and radio throughout his career.

Davidson completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto and pursued drama training at Hart House Theatre in Toronto. He made his professional stage debut in 1961 under the name Michael Davidson, appearing in Coriolanus at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Stratford, Ontario. Following that debut, he relocated from Canada to train at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. After completing his studies there, he performed in various stage productions, including a tour of Holland in A Midsummer Night's Dream. He returned to Canada in 1966.

His Broadway career spanned a decade, during which he appeared in three productions: The Survivor, the play The Ghetto, and I Hate Hamlet. These credits represent work across both dramatic and comedic material on the New York stage.

Beyond his stage work, Davidson has built a substantial career as an audiobook narrator, having narrated more than 200 titles. His professional activities have also extended to television and radio appearances over the course of his career.
