Richard Bekins is an American actor born on July 17, 1954, in Los Angeles County, California, whose career spans theater, film, and television.

Bekins first gained wider recognition through his work in daytime television, playing Jamie Frame on the NBC soap opera Another World from 1979 to 1983. His television career has continued across decades, with guest appearances on CBS series including Bull, Person of Interest, Elementary, Madam Secretary, and The Good Wife. On NBC, he has appeared in Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and The Blacklist. Additional television credits include Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, Mr. Robot, Daredevil, Madoff, The Path, Younger, and Designated Survivor, in the pilot episode of which he portrayed the President in September 2016.

His film work includes United 93, Julie & Julia, Limitless, Young Adult, Brother to Brother (2004), and The Only Living Boy in New York.

On Broadway, Bekins appeared in productions spanning 1980 to 1996, including Happy New Year, Tartuffe, and Love! Valour! Compassion!. His off-Broadway credits include The Normal Heart, Patient A, Birdy, Too Much Sun, The Chaos Theories, and Somewhere Fun.
