Renne Jarrett

Renne Gail Jarrett, born January 28, 1946, in Manhattan, is an American actress whose career spans Broadway, television, and commercial work. Her father, Robert E. Jarrett, managed mutual funds, while her mother, Barbara Jarrett, managed her daughter's professional career. Jarrett and her two younger sisters all worked as child actors and models. She is a graduate of the Nightingale-Bamford School and attended Northwestern University. In 1963 she made her debut as a debutante and was a member of the Junior League.

Jarrett began appearing on dramatic television programs before the age of eight, accumulating more than 25 television appearances that included the series Studio One. She held a regular role on the daytime drama Portia Faces Life and originated the role of Eileen McCallion on Love of Life. Additional television credits included The Edge of Night and The Secret Storm. In 1970, she took on the title role in the NBC situation comedy Nancy, playing the daughter of a U.S. president; the series ran through 1971. Jarrett has also appeared in more than 100 commercials, among them spots for Colgate 100, Reynolds Wrap, and Scotch Tape.

Her Broadway career extended from 1956 to 1962. She portrayed Rita Flannigan in the comedy The Loud Red Patrick in 1956 and played a maid in Giants, Sons of Giants in 1962.

On September 11, 1971, Jarrett married actor John Rothery Stauffer in Manhattan. The couple have one child, Drew Stauffer. Since May 4, 1981, she has been married to Bruce Bilson.
