René DeKnight was an American musician who worked as a pianist, composer, and arranger, and who also appeared on the Broadway stage during the mid-twentieth century.

DeKnight was a member of The Delta Rhythm Boys, a vocal group with which he made significant contributions as both arranger and pianist. His work with the group included arrangements for recordings such as "Dry Bones" and "Take The A Train," projects that formed part of the ensemble's influential body of work.

In 1945, DeKnight appeared on Broadway in the musical Memphis Bound!, adding a stage performance credit to a career otherwise rooted in instrumental and compositional work.
