Rebecca Pitcher is an American musical theatre actress whose Broadway career spanned from 1988 to 2018, encompassing credits in The Phantom of the Opera, Carousel, and The Sound of Music.
Pitcher studied at Baldwin Wallace College in Ohio and later attended the Peabody Institute. Early in her career she was affiliated with the Pittsburgh Opera Center at Duquesne, where her work included the role of Papagena in The Magic Flute.
Her most prominent association is with The Phantom of the Opera, in which she portrayed Christine Daaé on the third national tour from 1999 to 2004. She subsequently joined the Broadway production in an alternate capacity for the same role. On April 17, 2006, Pitcher assumed the principal role of Christine Daaé on Broadway, taking over from Sandra Joseph.
In February 2018, Pitcher joined the Broadway cast of Carousel, adding that production to her stage credits.
