Raymond Greenleaf, born Roger Ramon Greenleaf on January 1, 1892, in Gloucester, Massachusetts, was an American actor whose career spanned stage and screen across several decades. He died on October 29, 1963, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, at the age of 71, and is buried at Oakwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Chatsworth, California.
Greenleaf began his theatrical career in stock companies, performing with troupes in Boston and Bridgeport, Connecticut before the early 1920s. In the fall of 1921, he joined the Orpheum Players in Ottawa, Canada. During the early 1920s he also worked with the Jack X. Lewis Company in summer stock theatre.
His Broadway career ran from 1941 to 1947 and included eight productions. His earliest credit was Your Loving Son in 1941, followed by Jason in 1942 and Decision in 1944. Foxhole in the Parlor came in 1945, and 1946 brought two productions: A Pound on Demand paired with Androcles and the Lion, and King Henry VIII. His final Broadway appearances came in 1947 with Yellow Jack and Alice in Wonderland.
Greenleaf is also recognized for his film work, with notable screen credits including Pinky and All the King's Men, both released in 1949, and Angel Face in 1952.
