Rana Roy

Rana Roy is a British singer, dancer, and actress born on October 1, 1986, in London. She made her Broadway debut in 2019, appearing in the play Ink.

Roy first gained public attention in 2007 as a member of the winning Team Bruno on the reality competition DanceX, after which she joined the song and dance group Pulse. The following year, she appeared in the British television series Britannia High. In 2013, Roy served as both a performer and choreographer on Sharkproof, which was later released in 2014 under the title Almost Sharkproof.

Her American television career expanded steadily through the mid-2010s. From 2015 to 2017, she held a recurring role as Vimla across seasons four and five of Switched at Birth. In 2016, she appeared as the Receptionist in It Had to Be You. The year 2017 brought multiple recurring roles: she played Devi in season two of Underground, and Dr. Amira Renowi in season four of The Night Shift. In 2018, she took on the recurring role of Pippa in Life Sentence, and that same year began starring as Mary Clark in the Facebook Watch drama series Queen America, a role that continued into 2019.

Roy appeared as Yasmina in the Hulu series Ramy beginning in 2019, guest starring in seasons one and two before becoming a recurring character in season three in 2022. In 2020, she appeared in episode four of the Netflix series Social Distance. Her subsequent television work includes a recurring role as Priya Laghari in season eight of The Blacklist in 2021, and a guest appearance as Reema in the 2021 reboot of Gossip Girl.
