Quincy Tyler Bernstine

Quincy Tyler Bernstine is an American actress and audiobook narrator whose stage career has spanned Broadway and prominent Off-Broadway productions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, San Diego.

Bernstine made her Broadway debut in 2009 in In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play), in which she played Elizabeth. Her second Broadway credit came in 2024 with Doubt: A Parable, where she portrayed Mrs. Muller. That performance earned her a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play.

Her Off-Broadway work encompasses a wide range of roles and companies. Early credits include Matt & Ben (2004), in which she played Ben, and The Misanthrope (2007), where she took on the role of Éliante. She appeared as Salima in Ruined (2010) and as Sister #1 in born bad (2011). Subsequent roles included Estelle in Red-Handed Otter (2012), Detective Morris in The Nether (2015), Solveig in Peer Gynt (2016), and Judy in Small Mouth Sounds (2016). She played Celia in As You Like It (2017), Inez in Our Lady of 121st Street (2018), and the title role in Marys Seacole (2019).

In 2019, Bernstine received the Obie Award for Sustained Excellence of Performance, recognizing the breadth and consistency of her work in the Off-Broadway theater community.
