Peter Iacangelo

Peter Iacangelo (August 13, 1948 – November 17, 2021) was an American actor who worked across stage, film, and television over a career spanning more than two decades. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he attended Hofstra University before embarking on a professional acting career.

Iacangelo launched his career on Broadway in 1976 with Threepenny Opera, marking the beginning of a four-year period of stage work that also included a 1980 American production of Filumena. His screen work began during this same period, with a film debut in the 1978 production Bloodbrothers.

Through the 1980s and into the 1990s, Iacangelo accumulated an extensive list of television appearances, guest-starring on series including Cheers, The Jeffersons, Taxi, Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, Cagney & Lacey, Quantum Leap, Archie Bunker's Place, Murphy Brown, ALF, Who's the Boss?, The Drew Carey Show, Becker, Family Matters, Mr. Belvedere, Dear John, Hardcastle and McCormick, and The Tortellis, among others. His film work during this period included Hanky Panky, Hero at Large, Look Who's Talking Now, Night of the Running Man, Truth or Consequences N.M., We're Talking Serious Money, They Came from Outer Space, and Tattoo.

Iacangelo concluded his acting career in 1999 with an appearance in Fight Club, in which he played Lou, the owner of Lou's Tavern. He died on November 17, 2021, in West Columbia, South Carolina, at the age of 73.
