Born Howard Weiss on July 29, 1927, in Miami, Florida, Peter Howard was the son of Morris and Anna Wisnowitz Weiss. He graduated from Juilliard in 1948 and later toured the United States and Europe performing his one-man show, "Peter Howard's Broadway." His film credits include "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," "Recoil," "1776," "Mame," "Annie," and "Stepping Out." On television, he appeared in "Peter Pan," "Night of 100 Stars," "The 36th Annual Tony Awards," and "Great Performances." Of the 38 Broadway shows he worked on between 1949 and 2000, he served as dance music arranger on 23.
