About
Paulette Noizeux, born Marie-Paule Cœuré on 30 May 1887 in Saint-Omer, Pas-de-Calais, France, was a French stage and film actress whose career extended across six decades. She died in Paris on 9 April 1971 at the age of 83.
Noizeux made her film debut in 1911 in La Digue, a short film directed by Abel Gance, which also marked Gance's debut as a director. The film featured actors Jean Renoir and Jean Toulout alongside Noizeux. She subsequently built an extensive stage career in France while also pursuing work in New York, where she appeared in Broadway productions between 1918 and 1926. Her Broadway credits include the plays Maitresse De Roi and Daddies.
In her personal life, Noizeux was married to stage and screen actor Noël Roquevert. Her final screen appearance came in 1968 in Jeunes filles bien... pour tous rapports, a Swiss-French co-production directed by Norbert Terry and released in English under the title The Sexy Dozen. Roquevert also appeared in the film.
