Paul Nakauchi is an American actor whose career spans Broadway, film, television, and voice work in animation and video games. He made his Broadway debut in 1989 in Chu Chem and went on to appear in The King and I and Miss Saigon, with his Broadway activity spanning from 1989 to 2015. His stage work includes the role of the Kralahome in Lincoln Center Theater's Broadway revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, directed by Bartlett Sher. He also starred as King Phra Meha Mongkut in the Broadway Asia production of The King and I, a role he performed from 1996 to 1998.

Beyond the stage, Nakauchi built a substantial screen presence through guest appearances in several prominent television series during the 1990s, including Knots Landing, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in the episode "The Homecoming," Batman: The Animated Series, and ER. In film, he portrayed Sgt. Shigeno in The Great Raid and played Watari in Adam Wingard's Death Note.

Nakauchi has contributed extensively to voice acting across both animation and interactive media. He is perhaps best known for voicing Hanzo Shimada in the video game Overwatch, released in 2016, and for his recurring role as Shadowsan in the animated series Carmen Sandiego. He also voiced the character Hutch in the animated film Alpha and Omega. His video game credits include Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, Call of Duty: World at War, Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain, Tomb Raider: Legend, World of Warcraft, Lost Planet 2, and Dead or Alive: Dimensions, in which he voiced the character Gen Fu.
