Patty Andrews, born Patricia Marie Andrews on February 16, 1918 in Minneapolis to Peter and Olga Andrews, was just 14 when she and her sisters, Maxene and LaVerne, began performing publicly as the Andrews Sisters trio. Known for jazzy renditions of "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy," "Rum and Coca-Cola," and "Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree (With Anyone Else but Me)," the trio sold over 75 million records. Patty Andrews married movie producer Marty Melcher and later Wally Weschler, who became her manager. Film credits include "What's Cookin'?," "Private Buckaroo," "Swingtime Johnny," "Her Lucky Night," "The Phynx," and "The Gong Show Movie." Television: "Die Andrew-Sisters in Berlin."
