About
Patrick Kinser-Lau (February 21, 1953 – October 26, 1983) was an American theater actor and screenwriter born in California to parents Nancy and Lloyd Kinser. He studied speech and drama at Edison High School in Stockton, California, and went on to build a Broadway career spanning from 1976 to 1981.

He performed multiple roles in the production, including the Dutch Admiral in "Please Hello," the Shogun's Companion, one of the Kanagawa girls in "Welcome to Kanagawa," and a British Sailor in "Pretty Lady." The show received mixed reviews and closed after six months. Following a West Coast tour of Pacific Overtures, Kinser-Lau appeared off Broadway in The King and I.

In 1981, he joined the ensemble of the national tour of The King and I, starring Yul Brynner.
In the early 1980s, Kinser-Lau relocated to Los Angeles, where he transitioned into screenwriting and collaborated with Christopher Gore on Fame.
