Patrick Fabian is an American actor born on December 7, 1964, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who has worked across film, television, and stage. He grew up in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, where his father, Tom Fabian, was employed by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency. His mother is Mary Lou Fabian, and through his paternal grandfather he is of Slovak and Hungarian ancestry. Fabian completed his secondary education at Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, then earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance from Penn State University. He subsequently relocated to California, where he obtained a master's degree from California State University, Long Beach.

Fabian made his Broadway appearance in 1992 in Six Degrees of Separation. His New York stage work also includes productions of The Food Chain by Nicky Silver and Humpty Dumpty by Eric Bogosian. In Los Angeles, his theatre credits encompass Diva by Howard Gould and Dinner with Friends by Donald Margulies, along with two seasons at the Los Angeles Shakespeare Festival.

Among his earliest notable television roles was Professor Jeremiah Lasky on NBC's Saved by the Bell: The College Years, which aired from 1993 to 1994. He went on to serve as a main cast member on the series Valentine from 2008 to 2009, Working Class in 2011, and Special from 2019 to 2021. His recurring television credits include Joan of Arcadia, Veronica Mars, Gigantic, and Big Love, and he made guest appearances on Will & Grace and Friends.

Fabian is best known for portraying attorney Howard Hamlin in the AMC series Better Call Saul, a role he held from 2015 to 2022. His film credits include End Game (2006), The Last Exorcism (2010), Pig (2011), Jimmy (2013), and Cloud 9 (2014).

Outside of performing, Fabian has served on SAG-AFTRA's National and Los Angeles Local Board of Directors as a member running under the Unite for Strength slate. He is married to writer and comedian Mandy Steckelberg.
