Patricia Mauceri

Patricia Mauceri is an American actress originally from Brooklyn, New York, whose career has spanned stage, television, and film. She is perhaps most widely recognized for her portrayal of Carlotta Vega on the ABC daytime drama One Life to Live.

Mauceri's stage career began in the early 1970s, and she appeared on Broadway between 1974 and 1982. Her Broadway credits include Othello and The National Health. Her television work began during the same period, with a role as Angie Perrini Frame on the soap opera Another World in 1977.

On One Life to Live, Mauceri played Carlotta Vega from 1995 until March 25, 2009. Her departure from the series followed reports that she had voiced personal religious objections to a planned storyline in which her character would be depicted as supportive of a gay relationship, after which she was replaced in the role.

Beyond soap operas, Mauceri has appeared in episodes of Law & Order and The Sopranos, as well as in films including Saving Grace and Die Hard with a Vengeance. In 2017, she portrayed Jenny Sanchez in the faith-based film Courageous Love. A short documentary about her was produced by Olive Tree Pictures.

Since 2005, Mauceri has served on the theatre faculty of the MasterWorks Festival.
