Orrin Johnson was an American stage actor and silent film performer born on December 1, 1865, in Louisville, Kentucky. His career on Broadway spanned from 1890 to 1925, and he additionally appeared in seven films during the silent era.
Johnson's professional theatrical debut came in Hazel Kirke. His Broadway career began with the role of Edward Seabury in Men and Women in 1890. Over the following decades he took on starring roles in productions including Speed, A Japanese Nightingale, and The Girl I Left Behind Me, as well as appearing in the musical Love Dreams and the play Into the Whirlwind. His final Broadway appearance came in 1925, when he played George Lorrimer in Ostriches.
During the silent film era, Johnson appeared in seven pictures, among them Satan Sanderson and The Penitentes, both released in 1915, followed by The Light at Dusk and The Three Musketeers in 1916.
On June 16, 1918, Johnson married Isabel B. Smith, a widow, in Neenah, Wisconsin. He died on November 24, 1943, at his home in Neenah at the age of 77.
