About
Nina Mikhaylovna Doroshina was a Soviet and Russian actress of theater and cinema, born on 3 December 1934 in Losinoostrovsk, Moscow Oblast, in the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic. She died in Moscow on 21 April 2018.
Over the course of her career, Doroshina earned recognition as a People's Artist of the RSFSR, an honor conferred in 1985. Prior to that designation, she had been named an Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1970. Later in her career she received the Order of Honour in 2006 and the Order of Friendship in 2010.
Doroshina's Broadway career included an appearance in 1996 in Into the Whirlwind. Her work in theater extended to the Sovremennik Theatre in Russia, where she maintained a long professional association.
In her personal life, Doroshina was married twice. Her first husband was the actor Oleg Dahl; the two married in 1963, though the marriage did not last. Her second husband was Vladimir Tyshkov, a lighting designer at the Sovremennik Theatre. The two lived together for approximately 20 years before Tyshkov's death in 2004.
