Nicolette Robinson

Nicolette Kloe Robinson is an American actress born on April 18, 1988, in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in a household she has described as looking like "the U.N.," with a Jewish mother and an African-American father. Robinson pursued her interest in performance at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she majored in musical theater. During her time at UCLA, she took part in multiple stage productions and was a member of the university's Awaken A Cappella group. She received the Gant Gaither Theater Award from the Princess Grace Foundation-USA as well as a scholarship from the Jackie Robinson Foundation.

Robinson made her Broadway debut in the musical Waitress, playing the role of Jenna. The production marked her entry onto the Broadway stage in 2016. She is also recognized for her television work, including the role of Jane on the series The Affair. In 2024, Robinson received both a Tony Award nomination for Best Revival of a Play and a Drama Desk Award nomination for Outstanding Revival of a Play.

Robinson met actor Leslie Odom Jr. in 2008 while auditioning for a production of the musical Once on This Island in Los Angeles. Odom, who later originated the role of Aaron Burr in Hamilton, was serving as assistant director of that production and was responsible for helping Robinson transition into a role she was taking over from a departing actress. The two began a relationship after the production concluded and married in 2012. They have two children: a daughter, Lucille Ruby, born April 23, 2017, and a son, Able Phineas, born March 25, 2021.
